The prize money will be distributed to charitable organizations selected by the participating teams, including Ninjas in Pyjamas and MOUZ.

Gamers Without Borders, a virtual festival consisting of a number of esports tournaments, as well as live shows, concerts, and a learning platform, announced its return for the second year. The project is backed by the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS), with the $1.5 million charity CS:GO tournament hosted by ESL just one part of the month-long festival that will distribute $10 million.

Eight teams will compete in the Gamers Without Borders 2021 CS:GO event on June 22-27, with the teams that place higher at the event given the opportunity to distribute a larger chunk of the prize pool to the charity of their choosing. The mission of this year's edition of the festival is to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to underdeveloped countries and communities at risk.

GWB 2021 will be mouz's first event since winning Flashpoint 3 in May

The tournament will feature exclusively BO3 matches, starting with two four-team GSL groups and concluding with a single-elimination playoff bracket. Unlike the 2020 edition of the tournament which experimented with an MR12 ruleset, Gamers Without Borders 2.0 will use the classic, MR15 ruleset.

Aside from the Ninjas in Pyjamas and MOUZ, Brazilian side MIBR, as well as fan favorites FaZe and Dignitas will compete at the tournament.

The group stage draw is available below:

Group A ENCE MOUZ Ninjas in Pyjamas MIBR Group B BIG FURIA FaZe Dignitas

The group stage will take place over the first four days, June 22-25, followed by the playoffs. Aside from the competition, the broadcast will also include exhibition matches and show segments.
